The crowdfunding industry has experienced explosive growth since 2010. Recent estimates indicate that crowdfunding platforms raised an excess of $5 billion dollars in 2013 alone, nearly twice the amount raised in 2012. These platforms continue to receive media attention and gain acceptance from investors – offering developers new ways to finance projects and small investors a way in. With this comes a host of legal questions and challenges. Host, Cynthia Nevels, talks to Lewis G. Feldman, of Goodwin Proctor LLP to learn more about these challenges.
